We all have a story to tell – and we are especially proud of ours. Spoon was founded in Stockholm in 1998 by Melker Forssén, Anders Ribba, and Håkan Johansson. Back then, print publications were the most important channels, and we had a vision to create customer magazines that offered “newsstand value”.
Over the years, the company grew from three to five to nearly 150 employees, and as new channels emerged, Spoon’s offerings evolved too. We were early adopters of content marketing – amongst the first in Sweden – and in 2014 we acquired a competitor, Tidningskompaniet. The new company became one of the largest – and most awarded-winning communications companies in the country.
Our journalistic heritage has given us an edge when it comes to crafting well-told, authentic stories that remain at the core of Spoon. And in our opinion, that is what continues to bring brands and people closer together.
We believe that trust creates great ideas. By this, we mean trust in ourselves, in each other, and in our clients. On such a solid foundation, creativity can grow. This is also where courage comes in: the courage to stand up for what we believe in, step outside the comfort zone, and challenge our clients to do the same. All to achieve the best results. But it also requires humility, curiosity, and a constant drive to learn. We see every challenge as an opportunity for success – a success we share with our clients.

Spoon has offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg, as well as Oslo and London. Spoon is a part of the agency group, People People People (PPP), which gives us direct access to several other agencies each with their own unique expertise. Our founders, Melker Forssén and Anders Ribba, continue to work within Spoon and PPP.
