Reviving an iconic beer brand is not just about restoring it to its former glory – it’s about making it relevant for a new generation. For Falcon, a classic Swedish beverage, the challenge was to reconnect with today’s consumers without losing touch with its heritage.
Relaxing is your time to unwind, escape from life’s demands, and enjoy what makes you happy. And sometimes the best way to enhance that sense of freedom is to have an ice-cold beer in hand. To breathe new life into Falcon’s brand, we needed to focus on something timeless – a feeling that transcends trends and reaches across generations.
With the concept ‘Free as a Falcon’, we wanted to create a distinct and unique brand element for Falcon. The basic principle was to enhance the sense of freedom – and combine it with the sky and the soaring creatures that lives up there: falcons.
To bring the concept to life, we launched a campaign that captured those beautiful moments of freedom. The campaign film features music by rising star Orkid, who recorded a new cover of the song Vingar. An iconic brand together with an iconic song – both reimagined for a new era.
The campaign delivered positive results already in the first quarter, driving volume growth, and proved to be highly effective, with strong visibility relative to investment.
Brand recognition was exceptionally high – 79 percent among those exposed to the ads – highlighting the effectiveness of brand cues and minimizing spillover to competitors.
The campaign’s ads also ranked among the top five percent best-performing in Sweden after the launch (NEPA).
